Josh and Danny have trained extensively as stage actors, in genres running the gamut from Shakespeare to Sondheim. Fresh out of college, they joined the venerable off-Broadway company the Irondale Ensemble Project, and spent four years collaborating on new work and re-envisioned classics.
Josh and Danny were primary writers and performers in Random House’s Seussentennial Imagination Tour, which visited over 40 U.S. cities in 2004. They then created and produced an off-Broadway hit, “The Funniest Show in the World about the History of Comedy Performed by Two Brothers in Less than Two Hours for Under Twenty Bucks,” an improbable history of comedy spanning the Stone Age to the present, featuring original music, multimedia, and a gorilla suit. “The Funniest Show…” enjoyed two sold-out New York runs and has toured nationally and internationally since 2006.
Of late, the Bachers have been principle creators and performers with the Educational Arts Team, based in Jersey City under the executive direction of noted educator Carmine Tabone. There, they are developing an original series of puppet shows titled “The Backyard Players,” which have already been performed to great acclaim across the Hudson County school district. Josh and Danny are proud members of Actors’ Equity Association (AEA), SAG, and AFTRA.
